Trip to Yellowstone 2007

From Thursday to Sunday of last week we found ourselves at "Piney Place" a great family owned cabin up in Island Park Idaho, just about 45 minutes from Yellowstone (30 if I'm driving). We had a great time with both Grandma and Grandpa Beutler (G&GGeriatricNews.blogspot.com) and Grandpa and Grandma Losee (loseefamily.blogspot.com).
What follows is a birds eye view of the events of our trip.

Being the avid outdoors people we are we were not surprised to find the wildlife were instictively attracted to us... or maybe us to them. Neither Natalie or I let alone Baby Rease had never been to Yellowstone so we took a day to take in nature.

This Brown Bear and her cub were hanging out in the tree. Good thing the Park Ranger closed the trail because Grandpa Losee would have climbed the tree just to get better video.

Old Faithfull was nice but pretty stinky and not as dramatic as I had imagined.

Knowing that it was appropriate for the situation Rease let off a little steam of her own. But instead of smelling like sulfer, her gas smells like roses.

YellowStone Lake was great so we took some time to get some Glamour Shots.

Uncle Joe got first prize for the "Sexiest look while hugging an adolescent pine tree." Watchout Ladies!!

Upper YellowStone Falls was great so we took another chance to snap some couples photos.

Since uncle Joe is alone and single he took the chance to perfect his fake bull riding skills.

Then he transitioned into a more pensative frame of mind; reflecting on the 24 years gone and his "social goals" for the near future.

At 308 ft tall Upper YellowStone Falls was an awesome sight.

So awesome in fact that you could sense the "love in the air" (Aunt Whitney and Ty)

Exhausted from everthing being so awesome, Uncle Joe felt like sitting down and doing his best impression of Uncle Ricco (Napoleon Dynamite).

Then, as quickly as it had begun, the fun with Uncle Joe was over. Good thing we'll always remember Uncle Joe and our Trip to Yellowstone.
