St. George Getaway

We just took a quick trip to St. George and had a nice relaxing getaway. Josh and I had a few days off of work so we packed the kids up on Tuesday night and headed down for a few days. Our friend Kilee got it worked out to stay in her mom's vacation house down there so we had a great place to stay while we were there. Here are the highlights of our trip.

We took a walk around the temple and visitor's center. It's been a while since I've spent time at that temple and it was really nice to have the day to be there.

Josh taught the girls all about the flowers there called Snap Dragons.

They were very interested that the flowers open up likes dragons' mouths.

Then we made a quick stop at Brigham Young's house. I have never been and it was interesting to see. We didn't last long with the 3 crazy kiddos, but the part we saw was pretty cool.

I love this cool wrap around porch.

It wasn't quite warm enough to swim at the outdoor pool but we did find this cool indoor pool close to where we were staying. The kids all had a blast swimming and the girls were crazy sliding down the indoor slide.
We had plenty of movies and relaxing time. The girls love movie nights because it usually includes popcorn and treats.

We also went out to eat a few times - of course Olive Garden was one of our stops.

The last day we took a hike and had a fun time exploring in the red dirt and rocks.

The kids loved being outside and getting dirty. It was a beautiful day too - perfect weather for a hike.

Overall we had a great trip and relaxing few days. Thanks to Josh for taking a few days off to spend with us and to Kilee's mom for letting us crash in her beautiful home! Can't wait to go back!

Easter Egg Hunt

We had our annual Losee Easter Egg Hunt today. We started off with the kids hunt and they were super excited. There are getting to be more of them so it wasn't just the girls getting all the eggs this year. Liev and Ranger both got their fair share!

Then it was the adults turn. I have to say, dad hid the eggs pretty good this year. Most of the big dollar eggs were hidden so well that we couldn't find them without clues from dad. I was not as prepared this year with my flip-flops, dress and big belly but we had a great time hunting and finding eggs.

Hayley and Caleb went all out with homemade shirts and all. But in the end, Garrett and
Colby were the big winners. We came in about midway, mostly because Josh found a $10 and a couple $5 and $1 eggs. I didn't all much to our total, but that's what partners are for right? We combined our money and I think we ended up with around $24. It was great fun for all of us!

Dressing herself

After getting out of the shower, Rease accidentally put her panties and pants on in the wrong order. It happens.

Why not pose for the camera and show it off when it does happen?
Crazy girl!

Dental Office Party

We made our 1st quarter goal at the office so our nice boss treated us all to a play at Hale Center Theatre and dinner at Ruth's Chris. We had such a fun time together and enjoyed great company and delicious food! Thanks to dad for being a great boss!

Hammock Hair

Josh set up his hammock on the back porch for the girls to play in. They can't get enough of it and pretending they are camping. I think they also like the way their hair turns out after playing in it.

Little Cuties!

Chinese Food

We took the kids to Pei Wei for Chinese food for the first time. We weren't sure if they would like it but as soon as they got ahold of the chopsticks they had a blast. Rease went straight to stabbing her food with one chopstick.

Rhen concentrated on picking her food up with both sticks.

And was very proud that she finally did it!

Liev just liked the food - anything that fills his belly is good for him.
Overall a delicious and fun night out for chinese. Both girls keep asking to go back!

Riding to the Park

My kids love being at Grammie and Papa's new house in Daybreak. There are a few parks within walking distance. So the kids all grabbed a scooter and I put Liev in the car and off we went to play at the park. The weather was perfect, there were friends to play with and the park was a blast!

Perfect spring day to spend outside!

Smiley

Rease is the sweetest daughter. She is always doing things for me, drawing me a picture or just telling me "I love you" out of the blue. Yesterday I had a headache that I couldn't get rid of. Rease came to me after a couple hours with a smiley face sticker. She stuck in on my hand and said, "this is just to help your headache feel better."

I couldn't take it off - she made me feel better just being her sweet self. This is my reminder that my daughter loves me!

Starting to Walk

Liev has had no interest in walking on his own. He has been standing up to furniture and walking around holding on the things for months, but to let go and walk on his own has not been his thing. Then yesterday we were at my mom's house and I looked over and he walked from one couch to the other. Just like that. No prompting or help - it was all Liev. We snagged these pictures this morning for proof that we could actually go on his own. I'm afraid there's no stopping him now.

Easter 2012

This year we took the kids to the Draper City Easter Egg Hunt. We had no idea how many kids there would be until we showed up just a few minutes before it started. The girls got to the area for their age and there were already so many kids waiting. They were very excited though.

A quick picture of the very large circle of kids - and you can see all the colored eggs on the grass in the middle of the circle. Even with all these eggs the hunt literally lasted about 15 seconds. The buzzer went off for the kids to start and everyone was off. Rease and Rhen both got about 5 or 6 eggs each and were happy to get even that many. Lots of kids walked away with no eggs. It was over almost before we knew it. But it was quick and fun and the girls got some treats out of it!
Easter morning the kids woke up and found out that the Easter Bunny had found his way to our house. He sent them on a scavenger hunt to find their baskets, but they did find them and were excited about their loot. Liev helped himself to each of the baskets.

Our cute kids with their Easter treats!

Happy Easter to everyone!

Baby #4

We had an ultrasound done a couple weeks ago to find out about this new little one. We all had our guesses about the sex of the baby; Rease and Rhen had me convinced it would be a girl, while daddy was holding out for another boy to even up the numbers at our house. (I suppose Liev would have sided with him if he could say anything.)

We are all thrilled to say that another boy is on his way to our family!

Rease looked at me when the ultrasound tech made the announcement and said, "Well I guess the next one will have to be a girl."

We can't wait for Baby Boy to join our crew!

To the Park

The kids and I walked down to the park by our house today and had a great time being outside. Rease and Rhen insisted that they take Liev down the slide with them.

Then while the girls were playing, Liev decided to work on his walking skills. For some reason he loves to push the stroller around so that's what he did to pass the time.
He is getting very good at walking even if he has to be holding on to something.

He then found a rock that he promptly started chewing on. Yummy.

He is such a sweet boy.We had a fun day at our little tiny park by our house - glad to be outside!

Roly Poly

Daddy helped Rease and Rhen find a Roly Poly and they named him "Oly." They took very good care of him and made him a bed of dirt and grass and left him out in the sun while they went down for a nap. After she woke up, Rease was very sad to find that Oly did not survive in the sun. This is the face I saw as she walked back inside from checking on him.

It was a sad day in the Beutler home when our friend Oly died.

Treehouse Children's Museum

josh's sister was in town for a few days so we took the kids to the Children's Museum in Ogden one day so the kids could hang out and do something fun with their cousins. We had a great time and there was tons for the kids to see. Here are a few of our favorites.

The girls loved getting dressed up in fireman gear. They love firemen and are always pointing them out whenever we see a fire truck or firemen around town. They love that firemen are always "saving people." So this was really fun for them to dress up as firemen themselves.

The musical section was very cool. All kinds of instruments and things for the kids to be able to make noise.

The girls' favorite part by far was the doctor's office. They loved being able to take care of the babies and spent most of their time here. They were both so sweet with all these little babes.

Rhen had a fun time putting this skeleton together.

We stopped by the spotted cow. Unfortunately the chance to milk the cow had passed so we just took a quick picture.

Of course Rease found a coloring corner and went to town on a picture.
There was a little theatre and the girls had fun dressing up in the costumes and pretending to put on a play.

We played a game of chess on this huge chess table.

And we all had a chance to pull the Excalibur from the stone - no luck for us three girls.

This is part of the rowdy group. Addie, Kenny, Katie, Rhen and Rease. The boys were there too but didn't want to be in our silly picture.
We had a great day with the cousins! Come back and visit us soon!
