Temple Square

We took a trip up to Temple Square this weekend and enjoyed the Christmas lights and got to see Papa in a choir concert in the tabernacle.  He has been practicing with the single adult stake to sing at a performance and they did an amazing job!  It was a production of the nativity they put on with beautiful music.  And it was really fun to be downtown and be a part of the magic that is there at Christmas time.

Christmas Tree

This year it actually seemed like Christmas time as we were looking for the perfect tree.  Fresh snow and cold temps fit the time of year and we felt very festive as we found a tree and loaded it onto the top of the van.  Decorating the tree and our house for Christmas is always one of our favorite things to do together!

Candy Day

Candy day 2019 has begun.  It starts early and goes long but we have a ball while we're working together on this delicious treat.  And the boys were actually a really big help this year.  Liev was a master at cutting caramel and Keen rolled peanut butter balls like a champ.  Lots of yum coming from our kitchen today!

First snow

It's the first real snow of the year and the kids can't wait to go play outside.  Desh has not quite figured out that to actually have fun playing in the snow he needs a coat, boots and gloves.  Where were you on that one Beck?

Uncle Greg

Greg was in town for just one day and we got to spend a fun 24 hours with him!  We did all our favorite things while he was here - read stories, played settlers and hit an early morning gym session.  Couldn't get much better than that!

Knighting ceremony

Liev has passed off his multiplication facts at school and was officially dubbed a Knight of the Multiplication Tables at the knighting ceremony today.  He has worked really hard on his math facts and it is paying off!

Liev Principal's Pride

Liev was chosen to receive the Principal's Pride award today!  His teacher said that he has been working really hard at getting his work done before he goes out to play and that he is a good example to the class.  Love this boy and all the wonderful qualities he has!

Sick

We've had the pukes and the squirty poops at our house the last few days.  It has hit this little one hardest and he can't seem to get it out of his system.  So for now he gets to sleep in mom and dad's room and be close to the shower and the toilet.  We'll take him!

BYU Basketball

Uncle Mike was in town this week and wanted to go to a basketball game so we all joined in on the fun!  We try and make it to one or two games a year and it's always super fun to be there and cheer on our team!

Yoga

Josh started taking the girls to yoga with him on Saturdays.  They rotate every week and always look forward to when it's their turn to go with dad.  Josh says they both do great and are each good at different poses.  It's awesome for them to have something like this to do with their dad.

Beck Principal's Pride

Beck received the Principal's Pride award today at school!  His teacher said that he works really hard in class and gets his work done before he does the extra fun things.  I'm so proud of him and how well he is doing in kindergarten!

Rhen Principal's Pride

Rhen received the Principal's Pride award today.  The teachers help choose someone from each class that has good leadership skills and Rhen's teacher had so many good things to say about her.  I'm proud of this girl and her hard work in school!

Race Cats

The kids were part of a cross country team this year through their elementary school.  They practiced twice a week after school and trained hard for their 3 meets that they had this season.  The kids were grouped according to their age and ran a different length of race depending on which group they were in.  Rhen was in the "Cheetah" group and ran a 3k, Liev and Keen were "Tigers" and ran a 2k and Beck was a "Puma" and ran a 1k. Watching them run and cheering them on was so fun for us!  I was a proud mom watching my kids do something that was really hard for them.  They all did so good and most of all they learned what it takes to be tough mentally not just physically.  The last meet they had was the regional meet and the top 10 finishers in each group got a medal.  Beck did so awesome and placed 9th at regionals!  He was so excited to get a medal and be honored for his run.  All the kids worked really hard this season and are already talking about the track season coming up in the spring.  I love that we have a family of runners!

Just a couple of the darling things that Beck has drawn at school this year...
