Snow in September?

Today is September 29th and we are having our first snowstorm right this minute.

I just took these pictures from our house about 2 minutes ago. Does it usually snow this early?

Josh and Rease are obviously excited about this!

3 years!

Josh and I left Rease at my mom's for her first sleepover while we went away for our 3rd anniversary. We stayed in Wolf Creek up Ogden Canyon on Sunday night - the night it rained (and snowed not too far from us.) It was so beautiful - the perfect fall day with great color everywhere!

This is up at Snow Basin - of course Josh had to stop and I could tell he was dreaming of the skiing days that are not too far off now.

What a beautiful time of year - I love everything about fall (except the fact that winter is just around the corner.) But I love enjoying it while it's here and celebrating our anniversary right in the middle of it all!

3 years and going strong!

Paragliding Continued...

2 weeks ago I took my first paragliding trip. I promised more pictures so here they are... I guess a little better late than never.

As you could imagine my pilot (Chris) fit the physical profile of one of those "extreme athletes" (5'6" and around a buck fifty). I think this picture serves as a good illustration of our different builds. (I'm still walking normal)

For a moment there I didn't think we were going to make it.

We did get up close and personal with some sage brush but pulled out of it pretty quickly.

Cruisin' @ around 7000 feet.

Incredible time, I highly recommend it.

Early Fall Camp in American Fork Canyon

Rease proved herself to be a true Beutler this past weekend as we went up to beautiful American Fork Canyon for here first overnighter.

Of course, no body is perfect. (she loved camping and hated the "sock mittens")

It was great to have Aunt Whitney along

Future Uncle Ty came too.

Aunt Robin was super sweet to Rease which made her first camp all the better.

We were happy to see BYU Freshman and future valedictorian Sarah Hansen

Grandma and Grandpa Losee came up early and left before it got too late.

Uncle Joe brought his latest "Mistress" Melissa (or was it Melinda?) and, as usual was a force to be reckoned with.

Just when we thought we had a full crew, Garth Brooks (Greg Robbins, our friend, neighbor and fellow "gym rat") showed up and gave us a stunning rendition of "The Thunder Rolls" as a thunderstorm came through about 11 PM.

We played games by the fire into the early morning. All in all it was about as good as it gets.

Great friends and family = Great memories

Stickin' it to 'em!!!

While I had the day off today Natalie took the opportunity to show off her "coupon clipping" skills.

As you can see, a lot of the items were for our food storage and future camping trips but in the end we spent a total of $54.38. We saved $219.00!!! All I can say is "Eat that you overpriced grocery store!!" (our budget is safe for another week)

The new 'do

Thanks to everyone for voting on the haircut - I went with the majority on this one and cut 12 inches off. It's my mommy haircut and so far it's a lot easier to do and takes a lot less time. So thanks to everyone for making the decision for me!

And then there was peace...

Well we had our first fever in the Beutler home this week. Rease had a rough couple of days and nights and finally just crashed. I snapped these pictures this morning after we had been up almost all night.

No clothes is her favorite way to be, especially while she's been sick.

Love the bedhead!

Just taking everything in...

Rease has been so aware lately and doesn't want to miss out on anything going on around her. I had to put these pictures on because I think she is just so fun at 3 mos.

This is her concentrating look - I love the puckered lips.

Flashing her smile - she melts dad's heart with this look!

It looks like she just thought of a brilliant idea.

The famous scowl. I don't know where she learned this from but it's still cute at this age - I'm sure it won't be someday soon.

Choco-holic

I was eating a chocolate bar and let Rease have a little taste. As you can see, she couldn't get enough - she just kept licking her lips and trying to get all that good chocolate inside her mouth so it wouldn't go to waste. She is already a treat girl just like her mom!
