Popcorn Mess

Sometimes I let the kids have popcorn and treats when it's a movie night.  This particular night, I let them eat it in the family room while watching their movie.  What a mess that turned out to be!  But they look so happy making a mess, don't they?  Crazy kids!

2014 Calendar - Made by Rease

Rease made this adorable 2014 calendar at school.  It was my Christmas present and I LOVE it!  I'm hanging it up for all to see because I think she did a great job on it.  So cute and creative!

Fun with the cousins

We all had such a fun week with the family here and the kids especially loved playing with their cousins!
One of the days during the break, the men took all the kids to the church to play while the girls got to stay home and work on some craft projects.  We had a great time and it looks like the kids had fun too away from their mommies!  They took over the wiggle bikes and those always make for some good fun!
Looks like even the dads joined in on the fun!
We decided to try and get family pictures while everyone was together.  It was a little crazy with all the young kids, but actually we got a few that turned out good.
Justin's Family
 The Beutler Family
 Chad's Family
Hopkinson Family - with triplets coming soon!
 And Garrett the single one...
Grammie and Papa with all the grandkids.  11 grandkids ages 6 and under.  It's craziness sometimes!
The Losee siblings.
The whole family.  Such a great week together!

Christmas Bingo

Christmas Bingo is one of our favorite family traditions.  We start out with the kids bingo which they think is pretty great.  (The markers for the cards were m&ms and I think a lot of those got eaten during the game.)  The kids had fun trying to get bingo and Grammie had a present for each of them when they did win.  (Don't tell them, but we rigged it so that there was only one winning card in the group.  We rotated that card every game so that each kid ended up winning once.  Shh...they'll never know!)
After the kids went to bed, it was adult bingo time.  This is the loot that we were after.  There were over 60 gift bags and probably about 20 giftcards and money boxes hanging on the money tree too.  It is intense!  Bingos come quickly and then you have to spin the wheel to see what you do with the gift you choose.  Options are: gift up for grabs, keep gift, spin again and no gift.   Those no gift rolls are the worst!  I got 2 no gifts right in a row and it was painful!  But in the end, it's all fun and games and we had a great time!  Lots of laughs and a few little heated moments of stress, but everyone ended up with great gifts.

Thanks to mom and dad for making this such a fun tradition!

Christmas Day 2013

Christmas morning this year was super fun.  Our kids are getting old enough to be really excited about Santa, presents and everything magical that comes with waking up on Christmas morning.
We got to bed pretty late on Christmas Eve so Josh and I actually had to wake our kids up at 7:00 am on Christmas morning.  They were excited to hear that Santa had made it to our house.
All lined up at the top of the stairs and waiting to come down.
One at a time - oldest to youngest - they came down.
Then it was a frenzy of presents, wrapping paper, toys, bows, candy and fun!  Josh and I really made an effort this year to cut back and get the kids each a couple of nice presents that we thought they would really like.  It turned out being a great day and the kids had fun seeing what Santa and mom and dad had brought them.  Rease ended up with Heely's, Rhen got a large jewelry box filled with necklaces, bracelets, rings and such, Liev got a basketball hoop and Keen got a plastic rocking horse.  They all seemed so excited!
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was a big day for us.  We were going all day long and finding lots of fun things to do with the fam!  Started out with a trip to the bowling alley.  We rented 4 lanes to accommodate all of us and we had a great time!  The kids especially loved picking out a new color of ball every few minutes.  We ended up with a whole tray full of balls by the end.

We got together that evening for our traditional Christmas Eve program.  Hayley got the costumes for the nativity scene all ready beforehand and they were a hit.  The kids all looked so darling!  And they all played their parts perfectly.
We sang songs together with Trisha accompanying us on the guitar.
Read Christmas stories.
Had our talent show.  Liev sang Jingle Bells Batman Smells, Garrett showed us some soccer tricks, Wyatt did some tumbling, Chad and Max showed off his standing, Rhen taught us the letters in sign language and Rease sang "All I want for Christmas."
Grammie passed out gifts to the kids - she was the hero of the night!
Great Grandma Losee spent the evening with us and we loved having her.
And all the kids got new jammies - such a cute group of kids we have!
After the night was over, we all headed back to our own houses to get ready for Santa to come.  Our kids were super excited to get to bed so Santa wouldn't forget to stop at our house.  We'll see if he shows up!

Christmas cards from the girls

The girls each made us Christmas cards at school this year.  I love these darling homemade cards - they are a mama's favorite!  Merry Christmas to you too my little darlings!

Brothers

I usually go check on the kids before Josh and I go to bed - just to make sure everyone is ok, lights are off, blankets are on, etc.  Most nights lately I have found Liev and Keen like this...
Liev dumps all his sleeping stuff into Keen's crib, jumps in with him and they fall asleep side by side.  It's the cutest thing.  I'm sure they do their fair share of playing before they actually fall asleep, but that's ok.  They are good little friends these brothers!

Breakfast with Santa

Dad's ward put on a breakfast with Santa this year so we tagged along.  It was such a fun morning with pancakes, eggs, bacon and all.  The kids loved going in their pjs and talking with Santa about what they wanted for Christmas.  This is a picture of our gang - and Hayley about ready to have her triplets!

Letter to Santa

Rease wrote her own letter to Santa this year.  She was very insistent that she write it so she could say just what she wanted to say.  Turns out she really wants Heely's.  We'll see if Santa gets her letter in time!

Playing in the snow

We had our first big snowstorm of the season and the girls couldn't wait to get outside and play in it.  We probably got close to 10 inches of snow and it was perfect snow to play in.  Rease got home from school and her and Rhen went right outside and played until Josh got home from work about 2 hours later.  They had a blast!

And made such cute snow angels!
