Classic Fun Center

We bought summer passes to classic fun center this year.  The kids love the water slides and playing in the pool and I love it because it is small enough that I can keep track of the kids pretty easily.  We look forward to so many days here this summer!

Notes

I worked today and got home to find these cute notes from my girls.  They seriously are the best!  And I took their advice and just relaxed since they had the house clean for me!  Love them.

Hale Center Theater

I took the girls to see Joseph at the Hale Center Theater.  It is one of my favorite plays of all time and the girls love it too.  We had a really fun time and enjoyed it so much!

4 Boys

These are my 4 boys.  They are as different as can be.  Some are skinny, some have curly hair, one is shy, two love snacks, one is a little whiny, some are taller than average, one has a super chest, one has sleepy eyes, two have wiry hair, but all are Beutler boys and loved by their mama!  My life may be easier without these 4 in a row, but it sure wouldn't be as fun!

Zac's Funeral

One of Josh's dear friends from his mission passed away this week unexpectedly.  It was such a shock to hear about his accident and that he was gone and Josh really took it hard.  The good thing that came from it was the reunion of his mission buddies and mission president as everyone came to honor and remember their friend.  We were able to spend a couple days with everyone and all we talked about was the happy times we could all remember with Zac.  His funeral was so uplifting and happy because that's the way he was.  It was the perfect way to remember him.  We will miss you Zac.

Provo Beach

GoReact had their summer party at Provo Beach this year and the kids had a blast!  We were able to have one hour on the FloRider and then had a bunch of tokens each to spend on the arcade games.  They also had a dinner and then we could spend the rest of the night there doing anything we wanted to do.  The boys bowled while the girls did the ropes course. It was such a fun night and a great idea for a party!

Cutting Olives

Keen is my helper in the kitchen.  He always asks if he can help me make dinner so tonight I gave him the task of cutting the olives.  He took his job very seriously and even got through it without cutting his finger off!  A victory!

Piano Recital

The girls just had their piano recital and I was so impressed with how well they both did!  They have both been working really hard this year and it was awesome to see them up there showing what they have learned!

Bike Ride

Cute Rhen jumped on Grammie's bike today and rode all over the neighborhood.  We are so happy it's summertime!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to our Dad!  He is the best man I know, the dad of all dad's.  We love him and know we couldn't live without this guy in our life!  Hope he felt all the love coming his way today!

Washing the Car

Josh has been teaching the boys how to wash a car.  He takes them with him whenever he goes and has them get out and scrub.  Love their hard work!

California Road Trip

Right after school got out, we decided to take a road trip to California!  My cousin Katie was getting married so we used that as an excuse to head out for some fun and sun!  It was mostly a girls trip but Mr. Beck joined us and was the man of the trip.  My mom, my sister and her 3 girls and me and my girls and Beck were the lucky ones to go.  We loaded up my van and off we went!  We stayed in Oxnard for the first few days we were there and one of the first things on the list was to make it to the beach.  The kids were so excited to be in the sand and the sun!
We also went to a Dodger game one night and had such a fun time!  I haven't been to a baseball game in a long time and it was fun to be able to take the kids.  Everyone that was there for the wedding got tickets to the game too so it was a big family gathering and really fun to see everyone.
The real reason for the trip was to see this beautiful cousin of mine and go to her wedding.  The wedding was at a campground in Ojai up the mountain from Oxnard.  It was such a unique, beautiful wedding and we had a blast!  And it has been so many years since I've seen some of my cousins that it was so great to catch up and be there with the family.  Katie looked amazing and she was so happy to have us there.
We partied until late and the kids danced their hearts out.  They were tuckered out by the end of the night and we all got to sleep in the next morning!
After spending a few days in Oxnard we headed north to Arroyo Grande where my grandparents live and stayed with them for the second half of our trip.  With all the little ones we had, there were plenty of pit stops along the way!
Being in Arroyo Grande/Pismo Beach was amazing.  It was awesome to see grandpa and grandma Iverson since we don't see them too often either.  Mom, Hayley and her girls stayed with Uncle Mike in his house and I took my kids and stayed with grandpa and grandma.  They only live 3 or 4 miles apart from each other so it worked out and it gave us all some space to not have to take over one house!  I loved being able to spend some one on one time with my grandparents and have my kids get to know them.  They live in the most beautiful area with lots of amazing farms all around them.  I went for a run each morning and loved seeing all the beautiful scenery.
And of course we spent LOTS of time at the beach.  We went every day while we were there.  They live just minutes away from the most beautiful beaches and we took advantage of that!  The weather was perfect and we just enjoyed sitting on the beach while the kids played in the sand.  Hours and hours of relaxing.  It was so great!

Beck loved playing in the sand and watching the waves.  Isn't this picture of him and Uncle Mike just precious?!

Rease and Rhen spent their time on the boogie boards.  Especially Rease did not want to get off that thing and just rode in and out all day long.  Rhen was so cute and made this heart in the sand and sent a picture to Josh.

We did not want to leave this paradise.  We had such a fun visit!
Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma and Uncle Mike for hosting us and making our trip amazing!  We love you!

Campout with Dad

Josh took Liev and Keen up to the cabin to sleep out while we were gone on our trip.  They set up a tent on the deck, roasted marshmallows and stayed up late.
And the next day they went for a hike up a "big mountain" near Deer Creek and even found some animal bones.  The boys thought that was the coolest thing ever.  They couldn't stop talking about their camping trip with dad!

Happy 10th Birthday Rease!

Rease turned 10!  What?! She decided she wanted to take a group of friends to the movie to see the new Beauty and the Beast movie.  So we loaded up the van and off we went!  She had a really cute group of girls (and JT)!
After getting drinks, popcorn and treats for everyone we were set!

Our group took up one whole row in the theater.  And the kids loved the movie!
After the movie we came back to our house for presents and cake and ice cream.
It's always so fun to open gifts from friends - she got some really fun toys and books.
And all she has been asking for from us is a new bike.  Dad delivered on that and she was so excited!!
Rease is THE BEST.  Seriously she is.  I couldn't ask for a better oldest child!  Happy birthday dear girl!
My favorite things about Rease at age 10:
1) Like I said, Rease is the best oldest sister.  She is so very helpful to me and WANTS to help.  That's the difference from other kids - she truly wants to be helpful and do what is asked of her.  She does get privileges because she's the oldest but definitely earns those.  She always tells me "I'll clean up the kitchen while you put the boys to bed" knowing that she will get to stay up late with mom and dad if she does that!  I love her!
2) Rease has grown up so much this year.  She has physically grown and has passed up Grammie and Aunt Hayley and is getting close to looking me straight in the eye.  But she is also growing up so much as a person.  I can have a serious conversation with this girl and it feels like I'm talking to someone my age.  I love having chats with her after school or when she's getting ready for bed and just whenever.  She is my friend.
3) Rease has a positivity and love for life that not many others have.  She thinks that everything and everyone is good and rarely has a bad thing to say about others.  She is naive, sweet and caring and I don't want them to ever change.

10 year old stats from Dr. Erickson:
Height: 5'1" - 99%
Weight: 111 lbs. 5 oz. - 96%

Happy Birthday sweet Rease!

Ice Cream Date

Josh took the girls out on a late ice cream run tonight to celebrate Rease's birthday.  They ended up at Leatherby's and got a HUGE ice cream sundae.  Somehow they managed to finish it all!

Sleeping Out

We had Izzy and JT this weekend with us and since school is out and it's officially summertime, we got out the hammocks and let them sleep outside!  I love how they strung them all up right next to each other!

Amazing Race 2017

We love putting on the Amazing Race for our neighborhood!  This year Hayley and I decided that we would each do one for our neighborhoods but use the same clues for both of them.  So we worked together coming up with the clues and I helped her with her neighborhood and she came and helped me with ours!  It worked out awesome and we had tons of fun.  We decided this year that we wanted to be able to track the teams while they were out racing around.  So I had one person from each team join "Find My Friends" for the night so that I could track them.  Then I made their picture the color of their team so it made it awesome to track everyone and see how far ahead or behind each team was.  It was the best trick!  We also decided we wanted to watch all the teams at one of the stops, so after all the teams left the house we went over to the Old Farm Park stop and watched each team come and go.  It was so fun to see it all in action!  This is one of our favorite neighborhood things and everyone seems like they have a blast!

This was the sheet that Hayley and I used to track all the teams.  When we knew they were at a certain spot according to Find My Friends, we would mark it so we could keep track of where everyone was at and how close a team was to being done.  We also marked who made their free phone call and if anyone used extra calls and got a 5 minute penalty.  It turned out that the team that got home first had a 10 minute penalty and ended up taking 3rd place instead!  It was a crazy ending but so awesome too!  The yellow team took home the grand prize tonight!
This is our fun crazy group!  Until next year...
