Don't freak out it is just your eyes!!!

If you don't see what is going on you need to uncross your eyes and look at the picture above. Better yet, click on it and watch an even larger version and let your eyes trip you out.

This image is not moving, it just your eyes correcting themselves as they scan across the image. If you don't believe me, save a copy to your desktop background (desktop backgrounds cannot play any type of video).

Paragliding at Point of the Mountain

Only a year and a half after I got a gift certificate from Natalie for my birthday. My day in saddle became a reality.

Don't be decieved by this picture. I didn't go up solo. (I'd need a third hand to take this picture).

I even got a chance to take the controls for a couple hard turns around south mountain.

It was a blustery day so I couldn't help feel a little chunky in the saddle when the instructor told me "Ah Yeah, it is a great day for a 240 pounder!!" I couldn't help feeling like a fish.
I've got more photos so check back for an update soon.

Can you tell what Rease is thinking?

Sometimes we think that we can tell what the little chunk is thinking, other times it is not so clear. Look closely to see if you can figure it out.

The trained eye may be able to pick it up but the novice might need another hint. (next)

There She BLOWS!!

Oh so that was what you were trying to tell us!!!!!!

"The calm after the storm."

Piney Place Weekend

Our first family photo in a month or two.

Trip to Yellowstone 2007

From Thursday to Sunday of last week we found ourselves at "Piney Place" a great family owned cabin up in Island Park Idaho, just about 45 minutes from Yellowstone (30 if I'm driving). We had a great time with both Grandma and Grandpa Beutler (G&GGeriatricNews.blogspot.com) and Grandpa and Grandma Losee (loseefamily.blogspot.com).
What follows is a birds eye view of the events of our trip.

Being the avid outdoors people we are we were not surprised to find the wildlife were instictively attracted to us... or maybe us to them. Neither Natalie or I let alone Baby Rease had never been to Yellowstone so we took a day to take in nature.

This Brown Bear and her cub were hanging out in the tree. Good thing the Park Ranger closed the trail because Grandpa Losee would have climbed the tree just to get better video.

Old Faithfull was nice but pretty stinky and not as dramatic as I had imagined.

Knowing that it was appropriate for the situation Rease let off a little steam of her own. But instead of smelling like sulfer, her gas smells like roses.

YellowStone Lake was great so we took some time to get some Glamour Shots.

Uncle Joe got first prize for the "Sexiest look while hugging an adolescent pine tree." Watchout Ladies!!

Upper YellowStone Falls was great so we took another chance to snap some couples photos.

Since uncle Joe is alone and single he took the chance to perfect his fake bull riding skills.

Then he transitioned into a more pensative frame of mind; reflecting on the 24 years gone and his "social goals" for the near future.

At 308 ft tall Upper YellowStone Falls was an awesome sight.

So awesome in fact that you could sense the "love in the air" (Aunt Whitney and Ty)

Exhausted from everthing being so awesome, Uncle Joe felt like sitting down and doing his best impression of Uncle Ricco (Napoleon Dynamite).

Then, as quickly as it had begun, the fun with Uncle Joe was over. Good thing we'll always remember Uncle Joe and our Trip to Yellowstone.

I got daddy's nose...literally

When I say I got my daddy's nose, I mean it in 2 ways.
#1 - Daddy's nose is one of the features I inherited that sets me apart from looking exactly like mommy - I also got his double-chin which is also very cute!
#2 - I really got daddy's nose this time! (Hey it's mine too so I might as well do what I want with it, right?)

The Evolution of a Smile

Rease already knows how to play her Mommy and Daddy like a violin.
Watch as here smile evolves by the second.

Its like she's saying to herself "oh, the camera is on."

I think she actually knows that she is cute and she can turn it on like a light switch.

We cannot get enough of this girl.

Scorpion!!! How dare you invade our natural habitat...

It seems like we have had quite the "Bug Fest" on our front porch this year. After sending a freaked out Natalie into the house behind a deadbolted door "Scooter" the Scorpion (I named him) decided to hang around a little on our warm front porch.

Good thing she has a "Man" to protect her from the Jungle of angry animals just out her front door.

Our busy Sunday...

Rease started her Sunday morning off looking like a cute little fifties doll in her brown polka-dot dress (it was a gift and we have been waiting forever for her to fit into this particular outfit cause it is darling!) She was ready for church - pleats and all.

Then it was time for a family get-together at the semi-annual "cousin party" at Lisa's. Of course Britt and Hayley were there and you know how Rease loves her aunts!

The cousin party was made up of a lot of the Blair Losee family, but we had a great time playing "Werewolf." (I have to add that Chad makes a great little girl.)

We ended the night by going up to "our spot" in Suncrest to watch the meteor shower. We were a little disappointed at the lack of meteors showering, but it sure was a nice night just the three of us.

Rease was tuckered out by the end of the night...

Of course the feet have to be sticking out the end of the blanket - that's "her thing."
