Family Pictures 2011

We had family pictures taken a few weeks ago and just got the prints back this week. We were going for a vintage/40's style this time. Our photographer Kim of Red Door Photography is fabulous and did such a great job with our family. We would recommend her to anyone and are so happy with our pictures! Here are some of our favorites:

JJ Cole

Our favorite sale came back to town - JJ Cole in Logan was sold last year to a company in Chicago, but they brought their warehouse sale back to Utah this year! Kilee, Hayley and I made the trip up to Logan so we could be there and get some cute baby stuff. The sale started at 9:00 but we wanted to be there early to be first in line. Hayley and I got there about 6:30 and braved the cold. This is me waiting in line - I am under the blanket trying to keep warm.

It was worth waiting in the cold though because we were first in line and got everything we wanted once the doors opened. Hayley got stuff to furnish her baby room and I got a new diaper bag and baby bedding.
We had a fun time at our favorite sale!

Stake Volleyball

I played on our stake volleyball team this year. We had 2 teams from our stake and this is the team I played on. We had some really good players and mostly we had fun playing together. This was at our regional games.

Josh brought the kids to watch...
Rease and Rhen got ahold of the camera while the games were going on and had some fun...

Our team went on to win the whole regional tournament! Yep, we are #1! We got these sweet shirts for winning.

I haven't played volleyball since college, so it was fun to get back into it!

9 months

Liev is 9 months old and becoming very active these days. He started crawling about 2 weeks ago and now is all over the place in no time. All of a sudden I have to keep my house clean and little parts and pieces of everything off the floor. I love babies at this age, but he is my fastest crawler yet. The girls were in the "sit stationary and play with toys" stage for much longer than Liev was. I was hoping for that, but he learned to get up and go earlier than I expected. I sure love this sweet little boy!

Liev saw Dr. Erickson this week and he said that everything about this boy is perfect. He's healthy, happy and growing just the way he should be. Here are his stats:

Weight: 19.6 lbs - 34%

Height: 28.7 inches - 67%

Head: 18.3 inches - 82%

Liev is my sweet, lovable boy! Please stay this way forever!

The Good Award

The coveted award at Preschool is "The Good Award." Rease talks about who's going to get the Good Award almost every day. She has been lucky enough to get it twice this year so far. I asked her what the requirements are to get the good award and she told me:

1) Be a good friend to the others in class

2) Share

3) Make a new friend

4) Be kind

Her Preschool is so good about teaching good things to the kids and I was so happy to hear that the good award goes to kids that are friends with the other kids and that are kind. Rease has really been working on this because she always wants to get the good award.

These are the 2 Good Awards she has received. So cute and nice! Thanks for being a good girl Rease!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! Our kids were so excited for Halloween this year and were mostly excited to be able to dress up. We went to a chili cook-off at my parents ward a couple nights before Halloween so the kids got to dress up twice - and they were happy to do it!

This year Rease chose to be Ariel. I found the costume but had a hard time trying to decide what to do with her hair. She kept reminding me, "mom I have to have red hair or no one will think I'm Ariel. They'll think I'm just Rease." So I thought about red hair spray but decided that an actual Ariel wig would be the easiest and less messy way to go. So this is how she ended up. Ariel right?
Rhen was a cupcake princess. So darling.
Baby Liev was the one eyed monster. He never did get used to wearing this and found that he couldn't crawl with it on so it just cramped his style all night.

Since Halloween fell on a weekday, we were lucky enough to be able to dress up for work. Everyone looks so great I think!

Halloween night mom and dad had a party for all spooks. Moms only requirement was that everyone had to wear a costume. Here are the costumes of the night:

Then it was off to trick-or-treat. Rease and Rhen couldn't get enough of it and were so excited to find out that everyone was passing out candy - for free!
There is a house in mom and dad's neighborhood that was decorated to cute. We got this picture on one of the benches by it. Right after this picture was taken, Rhen got lost for a few minutes. There were so many people and kids around that I lost track of her and then panicked when I realized she was gone. Luckily someone had picked her up and they were looking for me together. It's my worst nightmare as a mom to lose one of my kids and it scared me. Anyway, she is safe and sound, but I kept a close eye on her the rest of the night.
Rhen fell in love with these little ghost lights in front of one of the houses.

I can't get over this electric red hair!

Overall it was a great night for costumes, trick-or-treating and hanging out with friends and family!

Halloween at School

Rease and a couple of her friends at school on Halloween.
