Every baby has at least a few distinguishing features; Something that sets them apart from the rest of the little chubby balls of fun out there. Look really close to see if you can spot one of little Rease's physical characteristic that sets her apart from the rest (hint: she takes after her Mom).

Let me assure you that even though she looks like she is all "hard core" on the outside she is really just a chubby little baby with a lot of love for her Mommy and Daddy (regardless of how much they use her to entertain friends and family).

Business Up Front, Party In The Back!!!

True fashion can always be considered "relative." What some consider "high fashion" others may laugh at.















Rease on the other hand has the newest trend well under control. She has won over everyone from the "admirers" to the "laughers" with her baby Mullet.

Even if she didn't get such wide spread approval. Does it look like she cares?

First ride in the carrier

We put Rease in her carrier for the first time and seemed to like it okay.

We went to the Real Salt Lake soccer game on the 24th with the fam.

This is my favorite way to hang out - no clothes on, laying on the grass with someone who loves me!

You're kidding, right?

Rease and Josh agreed that the bow I chose for her to wear to church on Sunday was a little too much. "Mom, this is embarrassing. There is no way I am really wearing this!" We chose a different bow. (But you have to agree that she looks darling!)

#1 Dad

I just wanted to take a minute and explain why I think that Rease has the best dad in the world.

Top four reasons:

#1 - He gets up with her at night

Josh let's me sleep in every day because he takes the second nightly shift which usually starts around 5:30 am. He gets her all fed, changed and back to sleep before I even wake up! Who could ask for more than that?

#2 - He lets Rease fall asleep on him.

A lot of mornings I wake up to this sight - it's the cutest thing ever!

#3 - He sings songs to her.

This morning (around 5:30) I woke up and heard Josh in the other room singing to Rease. I couldn't hear exactly what song it was so I asked him about it later. He never did tell me - he just said "it's our morningtime songs." I guess it's their little secret.

#4 - He loves her so much! He can't get enough kisses!

Rub-A-Dub-Dub

After the swimming episode, we decided to put Rease in the shower and see if she liked that better. She was in heaven with the warm water and would have stayed there all night if she could have.

Fun Family Night Activity?

So you would think that a nice Monday night at the pool with friends would be a good family night activity right? As you can see by Rease's face, she didn't think so. She was in for about 20 seconds (just long enough to get a few pictures) and then was out. We tried again about 20 minutes later and she was a little bit better, but still isn't used to the cold water yet. Her swim suit looks good on her though!

I'm a natural camper!

Josh, Rease, Uncle Joe and I spent the weekend at my parent's cabin in Provo Canyon. Rease loves being outdoors - so much that she didn't think it was fair that she had to be put to bed while everyone else was still outside. She let us know that she didn't like it and being the pushover parents that we are, we let her stay up way too late and hang out with us. We ended the night with a game of Settlers (of course) and Josh actually one for once!! We had a great time!

Dinner at Chad and Britt's

Thanks Chad and Britt for the great dinner and great company tonight! You guys look like naturals already!! We can't wait for "cousin" get togethers soon! Love you guys.

Saturday Night at the Park

Josh, Rease and I had a picnic at the park tonight. We spent a couple of hours just enjoying the nice summer weather and trying to get Rease used to the outdoors. She loved being out of the house and was wide awake staring at us with those big blue eyes.

My first 4th of July

Well I dressed up for my first 4th of July. Dad and mom took me to Delta for the day. We did a lot while we were there - we watched uncle Justin and uncle Garrett play soccer, did the bunny hop down main street (the biggest one in the world), watched the famous Delta parade (I caught tons of candy and popsicles they kept throwing to me) and went to the park for a couple of hours. I figured I had to look my best since it was such a big day - how do you think I look? Pretty cute, huh?

Rease's Blessing Day

Sunday July 1st we blessed our beautiful Sarah Rease Beutler. She was given a wonderful blessing by her dad and we had a great day with family and friends together. We feel lucky to be her parents and love having her here.

Summer Days Summer Shades

 

Sometimes it seems that Rease is developing a bit of a "Hollywood" personality. A little bit of drama (last night until 2 AM), a little bit of substance dependancy (Milk), and the ability to look good in sunglasses (even if she is indoors).
