One of our favorite weeks of the year is here! We love the week we get to be at the cabin and boat as much as we want. Almost equally as good as being on the water, is just hanging out at the cabin and relaxing. The hammocks and fire pit come out daily and we play and have fun together just being us. It is the best with memories made that can't be replaced. The kids made big strides this year with their water skills. Liev was introduced to "lakeboarding" after we decided to buy a kids size wake board this year. He tried it and picked it up so fast - his new love! Rease became an expert slalom skier and Rhen perfected her knee board tricks. Keen suddenly realized that he loved knee boarding and can do it on his own, grabbing the rope and going for hours at a time. Beck learned to knee board by himself which was quite amazing in itself! And Desher just loves the water and anything to do with it. Knee boarding with mom is a favorite along with family swim time in the middle of the day.

We've also adopted a tradition to go for shakes in Heber City one of the afternoons that we're there. It works out that we have to fill up the boat about every other day, so we take the time to get something delicious while we're in town!
And boat week usually always falls on Beck's birthday, so we have to celebrate with cupcakes and Pizza Factory!
This year we had the Chalks come up and spend one of the days with us. It was a blast to have them! We got them all out on the knee board or the tube and they all did really really good and learned quickly! We loved having them there and hope they can come again!
The last day of boat week is always our favorite. It usually ends up being a week day so the lake is not crowded and we feel like we have it all to ourselves. Also by that time the kids are in a good groove and keep progressing so much with their skills. It's bittersweet because we love being on the lake so much and don't want it to end, but know that it has to! This year was great all around. We have lots of summer ahead of us and we are looking forward to it!
