Josh and I were in Josh of the Losee Family Reunion this year. We found a house in Eden just up Ogden Canyon and thought it would be perfect for our crazy family. It ended up being amazing! With just enough room for all of us, a big backyard, great basement complete with theatre room and in one of the most beautiful settings around! We had 3 full days and lots of activities planned and we couldn't wait to get together!
Dad brought the boat up with him and we had one day planned at Pineview Reservoir. I have never been to this lake but it was beautiful! And it had a really fun beach with lots of room and lots of sand for the kids to play in. We got there early in the day and set up camp with chairs, easy-ups, food and games. Everyone got a chance to be on the boat and there was also lots going on for those that stayed on the beach. It was a perfect day! We stayed all day and played our hearts out until we were all sunburned and exhausted.
Hayley put on another edition of the Losee Olympics and those games were the highlight of the week. She had a Disney trivia game, watermelon eating contest, water balloon toss, plunger race, just to name a few. The kids had a blast. And of course we had our traditional BINGO night! This year Grammie had a "kid bingo" a "tween bingo" and an "adult bingo." Wow she put a lot of time and effort in for that and it was a hit!
We went on a family hike one morning to a short, easy trail at the mouth of the canyon. It was fun to hike together and also fun for the kids to stop and play at a little stream we came across. Even the littlest ones had fun and made it the whole way!
Each night we gathered together and had "spotlights." I was in charge of spotlighting each of the kids and had contacted each of the parents before the reunion to get some info on their kiddos. I think everyone loved this part of the day and couldn't wait to hear what was said about each cousin and try and guess who it would be. Such a fun thing!
Most of all we just enjoyed our time together. We laughed, played, slept, laughed some more and enjoyed the house and the amazing setting we were in. It was such a fun weekend together!
