Make-up

Why oh why do I leave my make-up out on the counter?  Too many small hands around our house - I should know better!

Hot Dogs

Beck has a pretty unique way of eating his hot dogs.  Maybe he doesn't like the bun?

Boys room

The boys were so excited to get these new super hero pictures for Christmas to hang up in their room.  They insisted we put them up right away.  Such cute, funny boys we have and we love them to pieces!

Library

We spent a couple hours at the public library today.  The kids loved playing on these computers and solving the puzzles with these magnetic boards.  We haven't been to the library much mostly because the boys are still pretty little.  But we learned that there are a lot of fun things to do at the library and I'm sure we'll be back again soon!

Cousins

All the Beutler siblings and their families started to trickle into town after Christmas to see Josh's parents home from their mission.  We all gathered together when everyone was in town and had a day catching up and letting the kids play.  Jeanie reserved the church for the afternoon so we had lunch and lots of games and fun and enjoyed being together!  We got this picture of all the cousins while we were there - such a fun group but I can't believe how everyone is growing up! It was fun to have the family together again and have our Grammie and Papa back!

Snow!

We had a big snowstorm on Christmas Eve that continued into Christmas Day.  They kids were so excited to get up Monday morning and go play in the fresh foot of snow we had at our house.  We all had a great time making snow angels, unsuccessfully trying to build a snowman, jumping on the snow covered trampoline and throwing snow balls at each other.  Finish that off with a cup of hot chocolate and you have yourself a perfect snow day!

Christmas 2016

We had such a fun Christmas this year and it was even sweeter having our Grammie and Papa Beutler home from their mission!  They joined us for Christmas Eve and all the festivities.  We hold a pretty typical Beutler Christmas Eve complete with french dip sandwiches, caroling to neighbors and reading the Christmas story together.  We took some extra time this year and talked with the kids about the meaning of Christmas and how we have been trying to serve others this season.  I know they are small and their attention spans are short - but they did a pretty good job talking and listening about the story of Jesus' birth before it was off to bed waiting for Santa to come.  I love these pjs this year - it makes them all looks like little elves!  One of the kids' favorite traditions is sleeping together in one room on Christmas Eve and talking late into the night about who can stay up late enough to see Santa.  Rease and Rhen designated their room to be the gathering place and they had a bed laid out for each of the boys.  So cute and fun for them to enjoy the time together!
Christmas morning arrived with some sleepy eyes but these kids were excited to see that Santa had actually come!  The line up at the top of the stairs is typical and so is the whining that comes from the oldest that she has to wait until last to come down the stairs...

But they all finally made it down the stairs and to their presents under the tree.  We keep Christmas morning pretty simple and have the kids take turn opening gifts so we can all watch.  It makes for a longer morning for everyone but much more fun so that we can all see what each of the kids are opening and their reactions to their gifts.  So fun!  The highlight gifts this year:
Rease - the box set of Series of Unfortunate Events books, new clothes and a new beanie boo
Rhen - A huge beanie boo named Olive and the Magic Treehouse books
Liev - New ski clothes and pirate swords
Keen - Matchbox cars, a new ski hat and a beanie boo named La La
Beck - A color puzzle and a basketball hoop to hang on the door
Mom - Squatty potty, ski gloves and lights to go under our bed
Dad - Ski pants and a hobo roll for camping
What a fun Christmas day we had!  After presents we had a quick breakfast and then got ready for church.  It's always fun when Christmas day falls on a Sunday so we can celebrate by really remembering our Savior and the reason for the season.  Merry Christmas to you all!

Keen's headband

Keen picked up this headband as he was riding in Uncle Andy's car with him.  I swear he wore it around for 2 weeks after that!  He needs something to keep that hair tame!

Um...?

I don't really know what happened here or what to say about this.  Our kids are crazy?  Yah, that sums it up.

We're all ready for Christmas at our house!  Our stockings are hung, the tree is lit...
Letters to Santa are written...
And Christmas artwork from school is here!  We love this season!

Littlest Christmas Tree

Rhen has been practicing for the play "The Littlest Christmas Tree" for about 3 months now.  Twice a week after school they have play practice and she has loved doing it!  Tonight was the performance and we were all there to watch her.  She looked so cute in her Santa hat and all ready to perform.
Rhen's part in the play was to tell 2 jokes before the play started.  She has been practicing them for weeks and couldn't wait for us to hear her jokes!
She was also in the choir and they had the most darling little songs and actions to go along with it.  The whole group did a really great job!  Such a cute little play for these 2 graders to put on!
We bought her flowers for after and she stood by her "bio" that was hanging in the hall.  We are so proud of this girl and her hard work towards this play!  Love you Rhen!

Star Student

Keen was the star student at his preschool this week as they were learning all about the letter K.  We made a poster for him to take and share with his class all about Keen and his favorite things.  Miss Melanie is such a great teacher to these little students of hers and Keen has loved being in preschool!

Desh and Andy

Love this pic of these two cute boys!  Uncle Andy is the best and the kids love having him around.  Baby Desh is no exception - he's always happy when Andy is holding him!

Baby Boy

This little nugget is such a ray of sunshine in our house.  Everyone loves him to death and the kids can't get enough of him.  Josh calls his new little teeth "Tic-Tacs" and we love when he shows them off.  What a love this boy has been!

Golden State Warriors vs. Utah Jazz

My mom and I put some Christmas money together and got Josh, Rease, Rhen and I tickets to the Utah Jazz game when they hosted the Golden State Warriors.  Mom gave her "family gift" money towards it and I had worked a couple extra days in November so I had a little extra to buy tickets as a surprise.  Josh and I were really excited about being able to go to the game and I knew the girls would be out of their minds about it!  So a couple days before the game we told them the surprise and the 4 of us headed to Salt Lake for a couple day.  We left Thursday afternoon to go up and be downtown for the day and stay that night.  We were all stoked for the fun!
On our way up we did a little research to see if we might be able to see the team before they headed over to the arena.  We found out they stay at the Grand America so we drove by and sure enough their bus was outside along with a line of fans waiting to see them too.  We joined them in hopes to see our favorite players come out and possibly get an autograph!
We never were close enough in line to get an autograph but it was fun to see the team come out and load onto the bus.  I got the girls each a ball just in case they were able to get it signed.
We got to the arena when it opened at 5:30 because we wanted to watch the warm ups.  Steph Curry is our favorite and is really fun to watch.  He warmed up for quite a while so we got a bunch of pictures and were close enough to see what was going on down on the floor.
Our other favorites were warming up too and the girls loved being able to see all these players that they watch on tv all the time.
Rease and Rhen were down near the tunnel as the team came in and out.  They got to clap hands with the players and see them face to face.
And Rease was in the right place to catch Andre Iguadala's towel as be threw it to the crowd!

We had pretty good seats just above the tunnel about row 15.  The game was a blast to watch and we just enjoyed the atmosphere and being there with our girls!  We had such a memorable weekend with them.  That night we stayed in a hotel downtown and spent the next day shopping a little bit before we headed home to our brothers.  (And Rease and I may or may not have gone back to the hotel after the game to try one more time for an autograph.  Rease's sweatshirt shows that she was able to meet Kevin Durant and get his autograph!)  Such a fun early Christmas present for us all!

Iron Man

Keen got this Iron Man outfit from Grammie and has been wearing ever since.  He wore it to the mall, had it on to see Santa and wears it when he's just hanging out at the house coloring.  He is so cute and funny!  I love it!

Morning fun

We have the best and craziest kids!  This morning they all jumped into bed with us and took over!  They always have to have a crazy face picture or two but they snuck in some smiles for us today.  We sure love all these kiddos of ours!

Christmas with Papa and Grammie Losee

Papa and Grammie are going to Boston for Christmas this year so they wanted to have a night with each of the families to give out their presents.  We had a really fun night with them eating dinner, opening gifts, playing games and enjoying the Christmas season!  The kids of course got spoiled and went home with lots of fun toys.  And the highlight gift? Tickets for Josh and I and the girls to go to the Warriors game when they come to town to play the Jazz!  Wohoo!  (Mom and I planned this together and we bought the tickets together as a suprise.)  We can't wait! Such a fun Christmas night with our Grammie and Papa.

Car mishap

We were trying to get kids and bags loaded into the van today when we heard a yelp coming from outside.  We looked out and noticed that Rease was covered on one side in mud.  We got the story from her and found out that she had somehow managed to fall out of the van and into the gutter that was full of muddy melted snow.  After finding out she wasn't hurt, we got a good laugh out of it.  She was pretty sad that she had to ride home with muddy clothes though.  Silly girl!

Prepping for the missionaries to return

Josh's parents are almost ready to come home from their mission!  We have all been so excited to have them back!  We wanted to have a weekend to work on their house and get it ready for their return.  They've had renters in the house and we knew it would need some work.  So Friday the siblings gathered and got to work painting, cleaning carpets and fixing up around the house.  Then Saturday we finished it off with a lot of help from the rest of the families.  It was a very productive weekend and we were able to get lots of their furniture brought back into their newly cleaned and painted house.  I know they are going to be so grateful to have a home to come back to.  We can't wait to have them!

BYU Volleyball

I took the girls to the BYU women's volleyball game this weekend and we had a great time.  It was the first round of the NCAA tournament and BYU had home court advantage so we decided to take advantage of it.  It was a great game and they ended up winning too!  Such a fun date night with my girls!
