Liev gave a Great Brain Report in class this week as part of his Brilliant Bobcat award he has been working on. He wanted to do his report on Hawaii so we did lots of research together to get his facts down. He picked out pictures to have printed and made this poster all himself. He was confident and very knowledgable up there in front of his class and I was so proud of him!

Washing the van
Josh is the best and takes charge of keeping our van clean. Today he took the boys along to help him. They are good workers and loved that they could each have a vacuum at the same time! Thanks for the clean van boys!

The Pantry
Desh has figured out the magic way to get what he wants from any of the shelves in the pantry. We are in so much trouble with these 4 boys and their raiding of the shelves in our house!

Chess
Our kids have all learned the rules of chess recently. Even Mr. Beck knows how each of the pieces moves and can put up a good fight when he's playing. This game is great for their brains so we are happy to play with them anytime they ask!
Liev's note
Liev and Alivia Brown have been good friends the past few years. She wasn't feeling well this week so he wrote her this cute note to take to her with a plate of cookies. I love his thoughtfulness and his cute candid things to say about her!

Rease Principal's Pride
Rease was chosen by Mrs. Chambers to receive the Principal's Pride award. Mrs. Chambers always has the nicest things to say about Rease and she gave this award for Rease's ability to "Synergize" and help out so much in the classroom. It's always great to see our kids doing good things and I know Rease does wonderful things every day!

The Boys
Josh and the boys took a hike today up the mountain close to us that they call "Saddle Mountain." He had them pack some snacks and water and off they went. They had a great time climbing and exploring together and Keen even came home with cactus spines in his leg and bum. One for the memory book! I love these handsome men and the joy that they bring into my life! There's not a better pack of boys around!
Running Growth
I've developed this growth on my foot since I started running this time around. I don't have any idea what it is but it doesn't really hurt much. It does seem to be getting a little bigger as time goes on which is weird. Anyway, I'm not doing anything about it until after my race so for now...I guess it's ok?
Lotion
Rhen went to Bath and Body Works with me and had a great time smelling all the different kinds of lotion. She even wanted to keep some for later...

Number scroll
Liev has been working on this number scroll at school for the past few months. He wrote from 1-1000 and was one of the few students in his class that finished!

Spring flowers
We are ready to get our yard beautiful! We stopped at the nursery today and got a few bushes to replace some that died last year and also got some flowers to plant. The kids were so excited to help and they were such good workers. We ended up with some beautiful bushes and an awesome pot in the front!

Sleepy Daddy
Josh fell asleep after church today and didn't even mind that his tie was wrapped around his face. Sundays are pretty long days for him so nothing gets in the way of his nap if he gets one.

Skiing Alta
Rease has the 5th grade season ski passport this year. Before the season officially ends, Josh and her wanted to take one last trip up to the mountain and use one of her punches. Luckily for them we got a big storm yesterday and there was a bunch of new snow for them to ski! They decided on Alta and spent the day together. They both came home raving about the resort and how much fun they had skiing it together. Rease is quite the little skier and loves being able to go with her dad!
Tulip Festival
Papa and I took the kids to the tulip festival today at Thanksgiving Point. It was a beautiful day and the kids loved running around looking for the scavenger hunt wooden shoes that were hidden all over the gardens. We are so ready for spring to be here and for a few hours we were in a place that looked like spring had fully sprung!

Desh and a Baby
Desh and I went to visit our friend Kilee that just had a baby. It was so cute to see Desh and how he kept wanting to hold Baby Daisy. He didn't know quite what to think of her at first but then didn't want to stop holding and looking at her. Compared to this sweet little newborn, he doesn't quite seem like a baby anymore!

April snow
It sure seems like there is always a late spring snow storm - just after you feel like spring might be here in full swing and have started putting jackets and coats away for the year. Isn't it beautiful though! I love the blanket of white we woke up to this morning.

In the car
Desh loves playing in Josh's car when he things no one is watching him. He'll climb in, lock the doors, flip through the blinkers and wipers, push the hazard button, honk the horn and as a bonus, climbs out the sunroof when it gets left open. He's so naughty.
Abs
Josh and I have gotten into a good routine at the gym. We always try to end our gym sessions with an ab workout and this is one of our favorite exercises. By favorite I don't mean that I love doing it but I do love that I am able to do it. Make sense? As always - love my workouts with my amazing husband. He makes me a better (and stronger) person!
Liev Art Projects
Liev makes the best art projects in his class at school! He loves drawing, coloring and doing all things art so it has been so fun for him!

Jordan River Temple Open House
The Jordan River Temple has been under construction for the past couple years as it is getting updated and will be rededicated in a few weeks. We took the kids to the open house today and it turned out so beautiful! It was neat for the kids to be able to see inside too and look around the temple and the grounds. Even Desh got his own pair of booties to wear inside - so cute! We had a great evening at the temple and were so glad we could be there as a family.

Collecting Eggs
McKay and Dixie our next door neighbors asked the kids to be in charge of collecting their eggs while they are out of town. We got back from our week and the cabin and the kids found a jackpot in the chicken coop! Omelets are on the menu tonight!
Spring Break
We stayed at the cabin for Spring Break this year. We had the best time just being outside and doing what we wanted. We went to the park, rode bikes, climbed mountains, rollerbladed, roasted marshmallows, visited Krispy Kreme and all things that spring time requires. It was warm enough to at least be outside which makes us all very happy!

Easter Week
We celebrated Easter this week and this week has become one of our favorites of the years. The kids love learning about Christ and his last week in Jerusalem and it is such a spiritual week for all of us.
Palm Sunday we remember what we are grateful for...
Mad Monday we remember how Jesus cleansed the temple and how important and sacred they are.
Teaching Tuesday is always my favorite - I love seeing the kids teach of the Parables of Christ.
Spy Wednesday we learn about how Jesus was betrayed and sold for 30 pieces of silver.
On Passover Thursday we try and watch the Prince of Egypt and remember how the passover started and why it was celebrated.
I love Good Friday as we remember how Christ died for each one of us and how He loves us individually.
This year Easter Sunday fell on General Conference as well and it was SOO special to have them both the same day. It was a first for me as well as we all got to participate in a Solemn Assembly and sustain our new prophet President Nelson. It was a wonderful way to end our week and I am so grateful for each of my kids and the testimonies they are developing. They are strong, happy and spiritual little people that I love having in my life!
