Rease has had an incredible marching band season! They have worked their butts off for the last five months and have practiced long and hard. They’ve all put in late nights and early mornings and lots of times have had little sleep between a late night football game and an early morning competition the next day. Sometimes I think it’s too much for these kids, but they have shown us that it’s just enough. Their show this year is called Circulus and was written by their band director Mr. Densley in honor of his mother that recently passed away. It’s a really emotional show and the kids puts their hearts into performing it! Rease has loved every minute of it has made such good friends on this team. They work hard and have a good time together. We have loved watching her perform and hope she knows how proud of her we are! They moved up from 5A scholastic to 6A open this year which means they’re competing against biggest schools and bigger bands. Some really incredible bands are in our region and we’ve seen some really tough competition this year. But the important thing that these kids always remember is that they are just trying to improve each competition. And they did! They got better and better each week and their scores continued to climb. State and Bands of America were both this weekend in St George and we all got to see them perform a few times. They did so awesome! And in the end they made it to the finals of Bands of America and finished in 11th place of all bands in the western US! So good! Here’s to an incredible year of band!
