8 weeks of the carseat

Josh started taking a picture of Desh in his carseat on Sunday morning before church.  It's so cute and so fun to see how much he's grown the past 8 weeks!

Best of Friends

Rease, Rhen and Izzy are the best of friends.  I love this picture of the three of them walking home.  They love being together and are just such good buddies!

Cool Dude

The kids love to sit in the front seat of the car.  Once in a while I let them even though they're probably not supposed to!  Liev had to wear my glasses today while he rode in the front because that's what you do when you're up front.  Such a cool boy.

Chic-Fil-A Day

Today is Chic-Fil-A Day and if you dress up like a cow then you get a free meal!  The kids made these cow masks at the gym today so we headed to Chic-Fil-A for lunch.  Hey, maybe we'll go for dinner too!

First Smiles!

Desh has just started smiling at us!  He is getting so chubby these days and growing up so much.  It's fun to see him start to recognize and smile at us!

Beck's 2nd Birthday!

Beck is 2!  Oh he's such a fun boy and we love him so much!  Of all the boys, he is definitely our most sporty.  I decided to do a sports birthday for him so these are the cakes and cupcakes I made.

 He was super excited that this party was all for him!  

 And then once the candles were lit, he couldn't take his eyes off the flame.  He was concentrating so much!

 I gave him a piece of each of the cakes and he enjoyed every bit of it!  

My favorite things about my 2 year old boy:

1) Beck is probably the sweetest boy I've even known.  He is pretty quiet but is such a happy, chill boy.  He gives me hugs and kisses anytime I want and is always sensitive to whatever is going on around him.  He will be the first one to say sorry if he hurts someone or does something that makes anyone feel bad.  He is a really sensitive kid so I have had to learn to be very gentle when disciplining him.  It doesn't take much for him to know that he's done something wrong.  He is all around just a sweet boy!

2) Beck LOVES to play basketball.  He is a boy after his mama's heart!  He spends so much time playing on the little basketball hoop we have and he is getting to be a pretty good shot.  Keep it up buddy!  

3) Beck is smart as a whip.  Liev and Keen have been very different from Rease and Rhen as far as learning goes.  It has taken them a little longer to catch on to certain things than it did for the girls.  But Beck is already showing signs of being right up there with the girls.  He is such a good talker already and understands anything we say to him.  He has a mind that catches on to things quickly and I can see him putting things together in his mind and trying to figure it out.  All our kids are smart in their own way, Beck is just smart in a lot of ways!

Weight: 29.61 lbs - 70%

Height: 36.61 inches - 95%

Head: 20.2 inches - 96%

Wrestling

All the kids were wrestling with each other and I snapped these cute pictures of Rease and Beck.  He loves that he is now old enough to be one of the big kids!

Cereal Brothers

Beck and Keen were the first ones up this morning.  I love this picture of the two of them sitting up to the table eating their cereal - in matching pjs!  Such cute brothers!

Boating

Having Baby Desh has put our boating days on hold a little bit this summer.  Believe it or not, we have not been up on the boat at all!  Dad, Josh and the girls snuck up to Deer Creek one morning so they could ski and get out on the water.  They had a great time and said the water was awesome.  I'm hoping to get out at least once before the summer comes to an end!

Muscles

Our boys have been taught all the muscle poses by their dad.  Keen is pretty good at the different poses and Beck is starting to get it.  Whether or not they're doing it right, they sure look cute trying!

The Boys

Look at all these boys of ours!  They are wild and crazy and messy and dirty - but we sure love them and the commotion that they bring to our house.  I know they are going to grow up being best buds!  I'm so glad I'm a mama of lots of boys!

Chub

Desh is definitely starting to put on the pounds.  Look at that belly and the rolls on his legs!  And don't forget that double chin he has.  What a boy!

Uncle Greg

Uncle Greg is the best!  All our kids love being with him and he is always so much fun!

Kisses

Nail Polish

My boys are pretty mischievous.  They basically get into everything that they are not supposed to.  Including blue nail polish from the girls room.  I will say, he did a pretty good job putting it on!

Stuffy Nose

Desh always has a stuffy nose.  It makes it hard for him to suck on the binky and breathe at the same time.  I suction out his nose pretty often but it's not ever a runny nose, it's like a big plug of boogers instead.  Today he sneezed and got the booger out on his own!

Popsicles

I stocked both of our freezers with popsicles this week when they were one sale for .67 a box!  We are going to have a summer full of popsicles!

And it looks like we've already started!

Silly Beck

Beck is such a fun toddler.  He's a pretty quiet kid and usually just does his own thing.  But he loves to be goofy and play around - like today when he showed me how he could put the laundry basket over his head.  What a funny kid!

Dad and Desh

Desh has so many people that love him.  He has to be the most kissed and loved baby around!  He sure looks good with his dad!

Beutler Get Together

Josh's sister Dixie was in town this week and stayed with us for a couple days.  Then his brother Joe came to town for a family reunion.  We decided to try and get as much of the family together as possible while they were both here.  One thing turned into another and before we knew it we had a houseful of Beutlers!  It was so awesome to have everyone together.  Dixie and her kids, Robin and Guy, Betsy and her kids, Joe and his family, Whitney and her kids, Andy, and a bunch of the Beutler cousins were all able to be here.  We had dinner and then spent the rest of the afternoon and evening chatting and letting the kids play together.  It was such a fun get together and we were so glad to have everyone!

Baby Kinley

My sister Hayley had her baby today.  Kinley Blair Hopkinson born on June 23.  He and Desh are going to be good buddies growing up!  We're so glad he's here safe and sound!

Rhen and Desh

This is about the cutest picture I've ever seen.  These two are the cutest.  Rhen loves being an older sister to Desh and I'm sure he's going to love her as he grows up.   Love these two!

Old Maids

The girls came up from downstairs with these made up costumes on.  They told us they were Old Maids.  Ha!  Don't you love Rhen's face?

Outdoor happenings

Our playset is the most used thing we own.  I love it.  The kids play outside for hours on it.  And once in a while they need help getting out of a tight spot...

 We just had a sandbox put in.  Oh wait - not a sandbox, a sandpit.  Josh was very specific on that.  Josh designed this round sandpit for the kids and then had our landscape neighbor pour the cement for it.  We are super excited for it!

 And Josh was right when he said that the kids will play in it for hours.  They already have!

 And one of the first things they did was bury each other.  Don't you love the crosses?  They said they died and were buried.  Ha ha!  So funny!

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to our amazing, handsome dad!  We couldn't do all we have to do without you Josh.  Thanks for being you and making our life great!  And for giving me these handsome boys of ours.  Matching ties are the best!

 We let Josh have a day off from doing anything but relaxing.  He looks pretty relaxed to me - and snuggling with Baby Desh is always a good thing.
