Boston Boy

The Boston Red Sox just won the world series last night.  We've had fun watching the games and cheering on the Red Sox.  Keen celebrated by wearing his Boston hat the next day.  Such a cute boy!

Happy Halloween!

We had a few hiccups to our halloween traditions. We usually carve pumpkins the night before and to be honest, Josh does most of the carving.  He is the creative one of the family and is also super patient helping the kids with all their jack-o-lantern wishes.  Well that all changed this year when he went in for his second surgery October 30th.  So Halloween morning came and the kids were very concerned that the pumpkins were not carved yet.  So we set to work Halloween morning and turned on Halloween music to set the mood.  Everyone had fun and I think the pumpkins turned out pretty good!

That evening I got the princesses ready for trick-or-treating.  The girls were both so excited that they got to have their hair curled and wear my make-up.  They looked like true princesses!
And I don't think I've seen a cuter pirate than this one!
Hayley, Caleb and Canyon came over for trick-or-treating.  Caleb and I and the kids set out to fill the candy buckets while Hayley stayed home and passed out candy.  We just went around our neighborhood and figured that would be enough.  It was.  It took us over an hour to go to all the houses around here and it was plenty of candy for the kids.
We did Papa Pumpkin for the first time this year.  We figured our kids are old enough to get it.  The deal is the kids can pick out 10 pieces of candy from their buckets to keep and then the rest they leave for Papa Pumpkin to take.  In place of the candy, Papa Pumpkin leaves a present instead.  Each of the kids have a choice whether they want to do it or not.  They could keep all their candy if that's what they chose.  This year, all the kids decided to give up their candy and wait and see what Papa Pumpkin would bring.
They were not disappointed.  They each got a cute toy and best of all, didn't have tons of candy left over to get sick on.  Thanks Papa Pumpkin!

Halloween Decorations

Rease was disappointed this year because I didn't have any Halloween decorations in the house.  She decided to make some of her own and hang them on the front door.  Our house was very festive!  She is such a sweet girl!

Hayley's pumpkin

This is the pumpkin that Hayley and Caleb carved this year.  So clever!  We love these little triplets and can't wait to have them here safe and sound!
This is Hayley and her tummy at 25 weeks.  She is doing great and her doctor says everything is going just the way he wants.  She hasn't started dilating yet which they are really happy about.  He told her that he wants her to get to at least 28 weeks but ideally not deliver until 32-34 weeks.  So far so good for these little ladies.

In the Toilet

I was in my bedroom trying to clean up one afternoon when Liev came running in and said, "mommy, Keen's in the toilet."  Oh great.  I hate when he plays in the toilet and gets all wet.  What I found was that he was actually IN the toilet.  Who does this?  I have never had a kid actually sit inside the toilet.  I had to laugh because he looks so happy in there, doesn't he?  What a kid!

Cornbelly's

We went to Cornbelly's this year for the first time.  I've seen it and heard about it, but never been.  We took the kids one afternoon and we all had a great time.  There is so much to do especially for kids.  Bouncy houses, big trampolines, slides, tractor rides, etc.  It was a fun afternoon out!

The boys

We have Canyon at our house everyday while Caleb is at school and Hayley is home growing her triplets.  My kids have become used to having him here everyday and it has been really fun for them.  These 3 boys have a great time together.

Yoga

Rease just recently became interested in Yoga.  She read a book about doing yoga and saw pictures of the different poses.  She decided she wanted to try it herself.  So she drew some pictures of the different poses and has been practicing for the last couple days.  I'd say she is doing quite good for just being at it for 2 days!  Here's a sample of Rease and her yoga:

 Keep it up girl!

Master Mess Maker

Keen is the master at making a mess.  I can't leave him along for more than a minute without him getting into something.  Today was the bandaids from my bathroom drawer.  He looked at me like, "What?  What's the problem here?"

Pumpkin Patch

We went to a pumpkin patch this year to have the kids pick out their pumpkins for carving.  The mortgage company we used to buy our house sponsored this event and it was super fun.  They had doughnuts, hot chocolate, cider and also professional photos for each family.  We all had a great time and the kids had a blast choosing the perfect pumpkin!

Play-doh

My kids love playing with play-doh.  I don't get it out much because it usually makes a big mess.  But it does keep them entertained for a while, so today we pulled out the fun.  Rhen made these cute birds in a bird nest - complete with eggs underneath the birds!
And Liev just had fun making all sorts of shapes with his play-doh.  What a fun day!

Apples

We've had lots of apples around our house lately since it's canning time.  Liev learned how cool it is to peel and core the apples with this fun contraption.  He was my big helper.

Hot chocolate

The days are turning colder and my kids know what that means... Hot Chocolate weather has arrived!  Rease got home from school one day and requested hot chocolate.  Anything to warm her up!

BYU Football

BYU football games have started and we love going together as a family.  This year Josh and I bought 4 tickets right by dad's seats so it's been super fun to be able to take the kids with us.  And surprisingly most of the games have been on days with great weather so that makes it even better.  The kids have a blast.  Not necessarily watching the game, but playing on the bars, dancing on the stairs, and playing underneath at halftime.  Whatever it is, we are glad they can be there with us!

This game day there was a huge rainstorm just before the game started.  It ended up getting delayed for about an hour because of the rain.  But once the storm passed it was a great night.  We all had our ponchos on just in case, but it didn't end up raining again.
Every day Liev wakes up and says "Go Cougars!"  So I echo that.  "Go Cougars!"

Halloween Bunco

So I've been in a bunco group for about 4 years now.  We get together once a month and have a ton of fun.  Mostly it's great to have a girls night out.  Anyway, this year for October bunco we all dressed up and I think everyone looked so great!  Hayley won best costume as Princess Di.  Thanks to Gayle for always hosting our fun Halloween Bunco.

Bear Lake

Uncle Greg invited us to his cabin for conference weekend.  It was a perfect time to get away and the perfect time of year to see all the beautiful colors!  We had a great time, like we always do at Uncle Greg's Cabin!
We played games (this one was "down by the river...")
Swam in the hot tub - I love the girls bums sticking up as the boys are just calmly hanging out...
 Played in the tub...
 Read books...
And went on walks to enjoy the beautiful fall that has hit Bear Lake.
Thanks for the great weekend Uncle Greg!

Pancakes

Liev loves pancakes.  Whenever we ask him what he would like to eat, he always says "pancakes" no matter what time of day it is.  I made these pancakes one more especially for him.  I love you pancake boy!

Rhen's artwork

Rhen is in an awesome preschool.  They do lots of singing, learn their letters in sign language and do lots of artwork.  These are just a few of my favorites she's brought home.
