Into the mouth

Keen is so much a baby that puts everything in his mouth.  He'll put anything in and then leave it there and crawl around with it sticking out of his mouth.  He's such a funny kid!

Hitler?

Canyon and Liev love hanging out together.  Especially now that they live in the same house, it seems like they just love being buds.  Liev fell a couple of days ago and got a scrape underneath his nose that, we think, makes him look like Hitler.  Josh thinks it's hilarious!

Exploring

Now that we are living with mom and dad, we are able to use the Ranger whenever we want.  The kids love taking rides and want to go out as often as possible.  Lately Josh has been taking them "exploring" around the gravel pits and in the open areas around Daybreak.  They LOVE it!  Tonight they came back and told me all about their trip and how they had chased a herd of antelope through the gravel pit.  The night usually ends with a trip to 7-Eleven for a Slurpee.  Dads are the best aren't they?

The new house

Josh and I decided that it was finally time to move from our townhome in Draper.  With 4 kids in a 2 bedroom house, we were running out of space.  We put our house on the market and started looking.  We ended up walking through a model home in Herriman that we loved and decided to build instead of buy.  It was not what we were expecting but we were really excited about it!  Our house sold quickly and we moved in with  my parents for a few short months while the house is being built.  Of course we've taken a zillion pictures so I tried to organize them and put them in order and much as I could.  Enjoy!

When we bought this house, the foundation had already been poured.  The previous owners backed out so we jumped in and bought the one they started.  It made everything go so quickly to do it that way.  This is the way it looked the day we put our offer in.

 They accepted our offer and started framing the same day!  It's been all fun and craziness since then!

 We took these pictures yesterday.  They are almost done with paint on the inside and outside.  Cupboards and flooring next!

May 10 is our closing date.  We are super excited for a new adventure and for a little more space! 

Laundry helper

Keen wanted to help with the laundry today.  At least wanted to be right in the middle of it - I'm not sure how much help he really was!  But he sure thought it was fun to ride in the laundry basket and help mom put the socks and underwear away.

Cousins

Isn't it great to have cousins living in the same house?  Only then could you have bathtime all together.  What fun - even if it is a tub full!

Mr. T's Memorial

Grammie's turtle of many years died a few days ago.  The kids were very sad to see Mr. T go and told Papa that they wanted to bury him.  So he took them out to the garden and found the perfect spot to lay him to rest.  The kids each wrote on the gravestone and placed it neatly on top of Mr. T's grave.  They had a nice little memorial for Grammie's long-time pet.  

Little Professor

Keen is a little hard to handle at church these days.  So we snuck out into the hall to listen to the rest of the meeting.  Grammie put her glasses on him and he just sat there not knowing what was on his face.  Doesn't he look so smart in them?  Our little professor!

Bundled up

BYU soccer has begun and it is still pretty chilly most nights.  So we packed the kids and lots of warm clothes up for the game tonight.  I grabbed this extra large coat and it turned out to be perfect to fit baby Keen inside with me.  He was in his carrier but perfectly warm and able to watch the game without being cold - except maybe those cheeks.  They may have gotten slightly chilly!

Trapped inside!

The girls were outside riding bikes and I was sitting on the porch just enjoying the nice day.  I didn't realize that Canyon and Liev had gone back inside and shut the door, thus locking themselves in.  I heard them banging on the door to get out and couldn't resist a quick picture of the prisoners.  These 2 boys are the best!

Poop Stains

This is pretty nasty but is the state I found Liev in after his nap today.  His diaper has somehow come unstrapped and fallen down into his pants.  Thus the poop had room to go wherever it pleased.  Poor kid didn't know what happened to him.  A nice, warm, bubble bath took care of the problem though and mom was the hero!

Lincoln Logs

I just bought a used set of Lincoln Logs for the kids and Rease had a blast breaking into it and building her own cabin.  Josh helped but mostly this was Rease's masterpiece!

BYU vs RSL

My brother Garrett plays on the BYU soccer team.  One of their preseason games was against RSL this year.  We got to watch them play at the RSL field which was really fun.  It ended up being a really cold day so we were all bundled up.  It was a fun game to watch - though BYU ended up losing.  We were all so proud to have someone to cheer for!

Easter 2013

We spent Easter at the cabin this year.  This kids had a blast riding their bikes and trucks up and down the hill.  It was good weather too so we were able to spend some good time outside!

 Of course there had to be a few ranger rides while we were there.  The girls had fun exploring and finding new places.

 The highlight of the weekend is always the egg hunt.  Not just for kids but enjoyed by all!  Rease found the $10 egg this year.

 Easter morning and the kids already have their candy unwrapped.  Can't resist!  

After leaving the cabin, we went to church and were able to be reminded of the significance of Easter.  I'm so grateful to know that Jesus died and was resurrected on this special day.  It was a great way to end our good weekend together.

Sleepy

I don't know why Liev likes this but lots of times this is how I find him sleeping.  Under the pillow is his way to sleep. 

BYU soccer

BYU soccer has officially started.  We went to the first game this week and it was actually even nice weather for us that night!  The kids love going to watch Uncle Garrett.  This poster was hanging just inside the gate when we got to the game and had to get a picture with it.  Our friend Colby is the one on the very left of the poster.  The kids thought he was a superstar!

Sisters

I'm not sure what's going on here on this particular day, but I know that these 2 sisters were playing hard with some new toys they got.  It didn't matter to them that Rhen had no clothes on - who cares?  All that matters is the fun they were having!

Naptime?

While we are living at Grammie's house for these couple months, Keen has been sleeping in a pack and play in the sewing room.  Poor kid has never had a proper bedroom.  Anyway, Liev thinks it's his job to wake him up and does this by crawling into his bed with him.  Such fun these 2 brothers are going to have together!

Doggie Door

Liev and Canyon have figured out how to get through the doggie door at mom's house.  They spend hours going in and out and playing in the backyard.  Once in a while Liev gets stuck and can't figure out a way to get out.  I found him like this one day and didn't know how long he'd been there and crying - poor kid!

Pit stop

We had to make an emergency pit stop for Rease and Josh thought it was hilarious enough to snap a couple pictures of her in this position. 

Crawling

Hey guys.  I learned how to crawl this week.  It's more of an army crawl/pull but it gets me where I need to go.  Mom's not sure if she's ready for me to be moving around on my own - but I guess she better get ready.

Today I crawled over to the table and found the cords.  I was just trying to play with them but somehow I got all tangled up.  That wasn't so fun.  But everything else about this crawling business is pretty great.

Lipstick

Sunday mornings are sometimes crazy.  We were about to walk out the door for church when I found that Liev had gotten into the girls' makeup.  What a mess to clean up right before church.
