We took a trip with the Browns to Lake Mead over fall break and had an absolute blast! The weather was perfect - 80s all week long, and we had the lake to ourselves almost all day long. The Browns have a great surf boat so we tasked ourselves with learning all the surfing tricks from them. By the end of the week I'd say we were doing pretty good for ourselves. Rhen picked it up like a boss and did awesome letting go of the rope and surfing on her own. Rease also did great just took a little more time to get out of the slalom ski mode and switch to surf mode. But she did it! And of course Josh was a pro right from the beginning. Liev, Keen and Beck just loved being on the boat and messing around like always. But Liev fell in love with cliff jumping and once he did it for the first time that's all he wanted to do! We explored the lake, saw the Hoover dam, stopped for family swim time, ate good snacks, cliff jumped and just had the funnest fall break imaginable! When it came time to leave, none of us wanted to go. We just wanted to soak in this last bit of summer and keep it forever! Thanks to the Browns for an amazing week with lots of laughs and memories to keep forever!

After we left the lake, Josh and I and the kids spent another couple days in Vegas just exploring, swimming and sight seeing. The kids loved the Hoover Dam and thought it was pretty amazing. And after an hour on the Strip in Vegas that's about all we could handle and then spent the rest of the time at the hotel pool! It was so fun to get away and spend some time in the sun before heading back home where it is bound to be much colder!
