I wanted to get some year end pictures of the family. The pictures of the kids turned out so cute! Love these kiddos of mine!

Piano Recital
Rease and Rhen had their year end piano recital tonight. Rhen has just been taking lessons since September but she has done so well for the little time she's been doing it. And Rease is improving so much each week. I am proud of both these two girls and all their hard work!

Great Grandma Losee
We spent the evening in Delta tonight with my grandma Losee. It has been a while since we've seen her so we wanted to take the kids and spend some time together. She sang the kids a couple of songs that I remember her singing to us when we were little and that was really fun. And the kids loved just hanging out and being with her. She is 92 years old and still doing well. She had a stroke a few years ago but seems to be doing ok now. We are so glad we got so spend a few hours with her!

BYU Football
We love BYU Football! And we're so glad football season is here so we can enjoy it as a family! The kids love to go, mainly because of the hot dogs and cougar tails, but whatever it takes to get them there. The weather this year has been so nice and we've enjoyed some awesome nights and afternoons at the football stadium!

Rhen's Report Card
Rhen had a great report card and her teacher Mrs. Ricks says she is doing amazing. I don't doubt it! She has loved reading this year and learning to write better. Here are a few of the things she's been working on this year so far.
Rease Report Card
Rease had a great report card and parent teacher conference this term. Her teacher Mrs. Willson said she is doing a great job. This year the 4th graders are working a lot on writing and essays. In her conference folder she had some of Rease's essays she had written and a few other things she has been doing this year so far.

Liev's Report Card
Liev had a great report card and parent teacher conference. Liev has really been working on his attitude at school and treating others nicely. He has improved a lot since the first of school and I'm really proud of him for that. He is also doing so good on his letters and sight words. Here are a few things he's been working on this semester.

Lost a tooth!
Liev's tooth has been loose for a couple weeks and I was afraid that it wouldn't come out on it's own. The permanent tooth is coming in behind so I didn't think it would get loose enough. But tonight he showed it to me and it was barely hanging in there. I talked him into letting me pull it out and it was over in about a second. He was so excited!
Losing a tooth is the best - especially when the tooth fairy comes!

Contaminated milk
Many times throughout the day I look at the things my kids do and ask myself "why?" This particular incident was one of those times.
Most of the time Josh's answer to my question of "why" is "because they're boys." I still think that's no excuse.

A new tooth
This boy has been drooling like crazy lately so I knew this was coming. Today this tiny tooth finally broke through! And the one next to it isn't far behind!

Dad's candy drawer
Josh has a drawer full of candy at his office and the kids raid it every time we go visit him. Today when we walked in, he wasn't in his office so we snapped this picture of the kids and their treats to show him that we were there. Such crazy kids and their sweets!

Invitation
Basketball season has started and we LOVE watching the Warriors play. The girls are totally into it and get excited every time a game is on. Today I was conflicted because the Warriors were playing and I also had bunco the same night. Rease made this invitation for me to help me decide what to do. I love this girl so much! She is so sweet and I love that she wants to be with me. We had fun watching the game together!

Pumpkins
My kids LOVE Halloween and are so excited that it's almost here! The first sign of Halloween is when all the pumpkins start showing up everywhere. We made it to the pumpkin patch a week or two before Halloween and the kids each picked out their "perfect" pumpkin!

And then the fun part - drawing the face and carving it out. We had some pretty good faces this year and the kids had a great time carving pumpkins in preparation for Halloween night!

Kidney Check
Baby Desh had another ultrasound to check out his kidneys again. They are keeping an eye on the small amount of fluid that has been in the kidneys. It's not a lot to worry about but Dr. Erickson wants to make sure it's not getting any worse. Desh is such a happy, smiley baby and didn't seem at all disturbed by the ultrasound tech walking all over his tummy and back with the ultrasound wand. Love those big smiles! And the good news is that the kidneys look good and not change in the amount of fluid. Dr. Erickson says we don't have to check again until he turns 1. Hopefully by then it will be all better!

Reflections
Rhen really wanted to do a Reflections project this year. The theme was "What is your story?" and she was excited about doing an art project. So she got to work thinking of some ideas and went through many drafts before the final project came about. She had decided to draw a bunch of little pictures in a collage to tell all about her and what makes her Rhen. I thought it was a darling idea and she worked so hard!
When it came to the award ceremony, Rhen took 2nd place in her age group! I was so proud of her! There were about 35-40 other art projects that she was up against and 2nd place is pretty darn good!
She was super excited about her 2nd place ribbon that she got. Great job Rhen!
